Hey, in case you haven't noticed, and judging by the lack of internet chatter you haven't, Equibase rolled out a much improved Virtual Stable interface this week.
The best change is to the interface that allows you to delete a horse or modify comments. Rather than selecting horses one by one, you can now make changes en masse. The same applies for the trainer interface as well.
Virtual Stable was long overdue for a makeover, and this one reminds me of talk shows where sloven guests get whisked backstage to get their 'dos did and wardrobes updated. They return at the end of the show for a big reveal that includes getting in the face of their high school crush to tell him/her what s/he missed out on.
I likened the old version to a garage. You could keep putting stuff in there with relative ease but cleaning it out was difficult, and the more stuff you put in the harder it was to get motivated to clean it out and eventually you just stopped using it and parked in the driveway.
But no more!
The new Virtual Stable is a huge improvement, and I'm really excited to be interacting with it again. What's more, is that this is only one of a handful of great improvements Equibase has made the past few months to get more information in the hands of more people. An iPhone application and the web-based yearbook have both given fans more information than was ever available before.
The first horse I added to the EJXD2 Virtual Stable v2.0 is Stay Thirsty with the comment "projected 2011 Kentucky Derby winner."
I use Virtual Stable heavily, with long lists of different horses, sent to different e-mails, for different reasons. I use it every day. And had no idea of the changes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "heads up", I have been wanting to "clean" my stable out for a long time , but never wanted to spend the time.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason i have not been receiving notifications in my VIRTUAL STABLE. I have tried everything, but nothing works. Can you DELETE my current account so i can open a new one. i have tried this already, but due to my e-mail address being the same, the program will not allow me to opena new account. PLEASE HELP... I have missed several horse notifications, therefore I had no idea some of my horses won until friends told me.
