Multiple Group 1 winner Vision d'Etat is expected to run in the $10-million Emirates Airline Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1) following a veterinary examination on Saturday.
Dubai Racing Club officials confirmed that the five-year-old Chichicatenango horse was declared fit and able to compete in the world's most lucrative Thoroughbred race, which is scheduled to go to post at 9:45 p.m. local time (1:45 p.m. EDT).
Trained by Eric Libaud, Vision d'Etat was listed as the 4-to-1 favorite by British bookmakers for the 2,000-meter (9.94-furlong) race, the first at the new multi-billion Meydan Racecourse.
